Join us at our next Family Day dedicated to art and learning. Your kids will enjoy an engaging and playful tour with an art historian and Blue Badge guide Marina Liddell followed by a creative master-class. The main language of the event is English, with an opportunity to switch into Russian – ideal for the Russian-English bilingual kids. Together we will explore three masterpieces from the National Gallery collection and open a little gate into the world of Great Art.
There will be a lot of questions to discuss and lots of answers found. What is Art? How was it to be an artist in the times long past? How to read paintings? What stands behind different symbols? We are going to talk about paintings from different periods – Renaissance, Mannerism, Realism and our final destination – Impressionism. Lots of -isms, but we promise – there will be both education and fun!
